This relic, buried deep in the sand, is what remains of a former fishing vessel, the SEA KING. The mast marks the grave of this ship, beached in Feburary 1963 at Barnegat Light, Long Beach Island, NJ. Changing shore lines can result in the mast sticking out of water one year , or sand the next!
